La Sagrera
Locally known as la Sagrera
La Sagrera is Barcelona's biggest infrastructure bet. The future Sagrera-TAV intermodal station will become the city's main high-speed rail hub, replacing Sants as the primary AVE gateway, and the massive Parc de la Sagrera linear park currently under construction will add 40 hectares of green space when complete. Already, four metro lines (L1, L5, L9N, L10N) converge here, making it one of the best-connected neighborhoods in outer Barcelona. Two-bedrooms average EUR 1,100, and rents are climbing at +8% year-over-year as the development progresses. Right now the neighborhood is a mix of established residential streets and active construction zones, which means noise and disruption alongside genuine potential. The local community has a traditional Catalan character with neighborhood markets and bars. Living in La Sagrera is for budget-minded digital nomads and families who want to get into a transforming neighborhood before the transformation premium kicks in. When the station opens, prices will not be this low again.
