Montjuic
Montjuic is not really a neighborhood you live in - it is a mountain park you visit. The entire hill is covered in gardens, museums, sports facilities, and the old castle at the summit. MNAC houses one of Spain's finest art collections, the Magic Fountain puts on light shows on summer evenings, and the Olympic Stadium from 1992 still hosts concerts and events. The botanical gardens and Jardins de Joan Brossa offer some of the best walks in the city. There are a handful of residential units scattered along the lower slopes, but with an average rent of EUR 0 (effectively no market) and zero schools, it is not a place designed for daily life. The Espanya metro station at the base provides L1 and L3 access. Montjuic matters to relocators because it is Barcelona's backyard - wherever you live, you will end up here for weekend walks, museum visits, and sunset views. Think of it as the park that makes living in Sants-Montjuic special.
