Eixample Right
Locally known as Dreta de l'Eixample
If Passeig de Gracia is Barcelona's Champs-Elysees, then Dreta de l'Eixample is the neighborhood that wraps around it. Casa Batllo and La Pedrera anchor a boulevard lined with luxury shops and Michelin-starred restaurants, but step off the main drag and you find classic Cerda-grid blocks with spacious apartments, interior courtyards, and balconies overlooking chamfered intersections. A two-bedroom averages EUR 1,800, making it one of the most expensive neighborhoods in the city. Four metro lines crisscross below and walkability is a perfect 10. The grid is wide, flat, and logical, so you will never get lost. Green space is the main weakness - there are no major parks, just the small interior gardens of some blocks. This is where international professionals settle when they want a prestigious address, excellent dining, and the feeling of being at the exact center of everything. Not for budget seekers, but for those who can afford it, living in Eixample Right is hard to beat.
