For non-EU nationals wanting to start a business or work as self-employed (autonomo) in Spain. Requires a detailed business plan showing the venture will create jobs or benefit the Spanish economy. New autonomos benefit from the 'tarifa plana' - a reduced social security rate of EUR 80/month for the first 12 months.

Requirements
- Valid passport
- Detailed business plan demonstrating viability
- Proof of sufficient investment capital for the business
- Professional qualifications or experience relevant to the business
- No criminal record certificate (apostilled)
- Private health insurance with full coverage in Spain
- Proof of funds for initial living expenses
